    Schools for Kabul is a student-run fundraising group from Sonoma Academy. We are raising money to send to the city of Kabul, Afghanistan where Turquoise Mountain, an organization run by bestselling author Rory Stewart, will use our funds for educational and economic development projects. The money that we raised last year entirely financed a small girls school with the capacity to teach 200 local children. This school will be a model for better, cleaner, more cost-effective schools across the country. This year, we are continuing to raise money for the school, scholarship funds for students to go to Turquoise Mountain’s Arts, Ceramics, and Jewelry classes and more. Thank you for your help with our effort, and we hope you know that your generosity can provide education and happiness to this sadly war-torn country.
